I just wanted my today screen to look like a relaxing aquarium, so I bought the Animated Today application, then added a wallpaper background to help it fit the screen resolution:
Of course, it looks a lot more impressive if you can actually SEE the animated fish swimming across the screen.

Jim, I hadn't bothered to get MemMaid until your post. Thank you for the suggestion ... what an outright handy utility that is!
I checked the performance and according to MemMaid the Animated Today app
Processor usage varies between 1.5% to 3.5%. That's not too much of a sacrifice to have a little variety on your today screen, eh?
Plus it makes all the BlackBerry users at work jealous!

I upgraded to the leaked ROM, and then to WoZZeR's WM 6.5 v2. The new titanium interface is great. Enjoying GPS and everything is finger-friendly.
