I've been searching for a way to make my phone ring longer before going to voice mail. This did the trick. The link should take you right to post #9, the relevant part of this thread. Yes, this worked fine for my SCH-I910. Let me know if this helps anyone else.
I've did a good bit of searching for this topic on the Omnia forum and haven't found success so far. Hopefully I'm the first to post this on pdaphone.com. Sorry if it's a duplicate.
I was asked to share a recent "discovery". I had the same problem with not being able to charge with the OEM cable. I bought the Boxwave cable that has the 2 connectors so that I could use the wall and car adapters that I have. Last week I forgot my cable and all I had with me was the wretched OEM, which I knew did not like my work computer as the phone is not recognized due to not having Admin rights. I had plugged it in to the USB port hoping that it would work (it didn't) and I went to put it in sleep mode to conserve power and ended up shutting it down annd lo and behold a "charging" icon appeared and the red light on the sleep button was on, and in a few hours it was fully charged. It also works with the wall and car adapters. The key is to have it on first, and then plug it in and then power off and viola.
One of my biggest complaints about this phone is the awfully insensitive touch screen. I found this easy reg hack on ppcgeeks.com.

43. How to improve screen calibration
HKLM/Hardware/Devicemap/Touch/CalibrationData

Try & see if the above improves the screen calibration
An intruder has just broken into your home. What do you do? Dial 911 right? *BEEP BEEP BEEP* Wow that was awfully loud. I hope the intruder didn't get a fix on my location from that loud dialing noise.
Your kid has just been abducted. What do they do? Dial 911 right? *BEEP BEEP BEEP* Think the abductor let that call get through?
Turn off your dialpad sounds. If nothing else you'll save a little battery juice.
Here's how: Go to Settings, then Phone (with the little blue phone handle icon), then under the Keypad dropdown near the bottom set it to Off.
I posted a response to an issue about the storage card in the Omnia appearing full when it clearly should not be. Jim Lewis suggested that I add my observations to "Tips and Tricks"
There is a bug in the Touch Player software. When you update your music library in Touch Player it causes your storage memory to appear full. For example, if you add 1 gb of music and update your library you might find that your storage memory now reads almost completely full and you cannot add any additional files. The only way to repair this is to hard reset your storage memory. Through some trial and error I think this problem might be related to music files downloaded via file-sharing services. I've ripped songs from CDs with Windows Media Player, placed them on my Omnia and updated my library in Touch Player without any ill effects. However, when I added old MP3s downloaded from the internet I've run into problems. The easist solution is simply not to use Touch Player and use either the included Windows Mobile Player or a third party player.
WiFi firmware upgrade, esp. for Leaked ROM or cooked UPDATE
If you are having trouble with Omnia WiFi connections to your home router, make sure you have the latest firmware for the router. I was having trouble with the leaked CC20 Omnia ROM and its descendants and I blamed it on the Omnia. But the latest bios for my Linksys WRT350N fixed all my WiFi problems up nicely.
Connect your WiFi router directly to a computer with ethernet cable and it's very easy to flash update the BIOS (for my Linksys router, I can do it within the web page administrator by going to the STATUS page and picking Firmware Upgrade (after downloading the update to the PC)). Check the model and serial number of your router very carefully to make sure any BIOS update is applicable to your individual router. You can brick your router with the wrong BIOS update.
Step 2 would be the same, you still need to create a folder.
Otherwise type opera:config in address field and it opens all sorts of changes you can make. Go to Cache and change the directory so it points to your new folder. No text editting...
In doing this I found, if you type 'opera:' in the address bar (no single quotes), it instantly pulls up an options menu - no need to hit enter.
Several options here:
about opera
cache items in memory
preferences editor
history
plug-ins
I noticed within Windows messaging, if I'm viewing an e-mail, if I swipe to the right, I'm taken forward to the next (opened) e-mail. If I swipe to the left, I'm taken back to the previous (opened) e-mail. Works with my Exchange messaging and works with HotMail.
This is probably one of those things that everyone else already knows and I'm just catching on. Sorry if that's so. Just did a bit of a search and didn't find anything on it
