Bump! Someone PLEASE write a program to allow multiple button presses be recognized! Please see a few posts above for possible source code inspiration!
Figured since I found the source, but lack the skills, I'd toss another bump to my most requested feature.
Anyone who wants it, I have permission to send out the source, just let me know.
Hi everyone. I just got my i730 last week, and I've learned a lot from all of the posts in this forum. I have created a mostly working fix for the simultaneous multiple keypress problem. You can find out all the details on my website: http://www.dekabyte.com/pocketpc. There are still a few issues to be worked out - it's all spelled out on the website. I hope you find this useful.
That is one of the things that annoyed me the most about my i730. I mean, it's supposed to be a computer that fits in your pocket, right? Well, on my keyboard, I can press multiple buttons at once and it work like it's supposed too, so why the F@&% not on my PPC?????
Seriously, great job!!

Wow, a breath of fresh knowledge to the i730 forum. Thanks a lot Mr. Toad!!! This app works seamlessly for me. The only thing I did in addition to your instructions was to paste a shortcut of your file in my startup folder and now it runs automatically even after a soft reset. Thanks again for this great app!!! Nicely done.

Thank You! Can we expect to see the other keys working anytime soon?
Also is there anyway you can provide a cab file or provide an option that will run the program without opening the info screen? That way it will just run and I don't have to minimize it. Thanks!

I probably won't have time to work on it until the first of March or so. The source code is available, so anyone is welcome to try to get the other keys working (assuming you can figure out my not quite self-documenting code ).

Good idea. I will add that option in the next version.
OK, now that we all have the awesome ability to play action games on the i730, let's get a good list of emulators and games that we are playing. I am still using pocketnes from my Axim, but I would love to find one that will switch to landscape mode (I think it would be better for gameplay and comfort, I know that with the vert slider it seems wierd but pretend for a second with the screen on the left of the buttons and you may just agree).
Hello again, well not much traffic lately on this thread but I will go ahead and list what I have found. I am the biggest fan of freeware, but I am also willing to pay for what works well and this is that case. I found an emulator that you all probably already know about called Smartgear - LINK:
This emulator is the most fully function and bug-free one I have ever used. It also allows for what I mentioned above - landscape view. It runs at full speed with the exact same game and button timing that my fingers still remember from the old NES. It emulates not only NES, but also GameBoy, GameGear, MasterSystem, TurboGrafx-16 and Genesis emulation. So far I have only used the NES, but I am guessing it will not disappoint for the other consoles. The best part is it only costs $10. The worst part is that up until yesterday it was %50 off (sorry I took too long to post), but still worth it at $10. OK, at this point I think the company should pay me a comission, but I am truly this happy with it. I use it in landscape with the Dpad for directional, B for B, and the Space button for A. It is both comfortable and feels natural (and I have big hands). But anyway, just thought I'd share - give this one a shot, it blows pocketnes, nester, yame, and all the others out of the water - my i730 is now complete (well minus the GPS, but oh well)
I have used various torrent DL's. I am fairly sure that this forum will not like it if I link it but it starts with P and ends with iratebay.org I got these a LONG time ago, so sorry if the torrent is dead.

Haha I love how discrete that was To keep this thread legal haha if someone was going to buy them is there even a place to do so? As in emulated games.
I checked out romnation and it seems they are legit. They even block all the Downloads that the ESA has deemed a no-no. Unfortunately, these turn out to be most of the popular franchise games, but there are still alot of fun games there. I can also now say that Smartgear (see above) renders Genesis games very nicely.
