Works for me on my Blackjack, but I did have to take the extra step of doing a soft reset on my Blackjack before reconnecting to install the driver again. (Between steps 10 and 11 of "Step 3 - Reinstall Driver.") Otherwise, it looks great! Thanks!!!

I got it to work, but only after a couple of failed attempts on my new Vista machine. The problem I ran into was that I hadn't yet set the option on Vista File Explorer under "Organize", "Folder and Search Options", "View" (tab), uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types". As a result, I was naming the file "sync.ico.ico", without seeing the final ".ico".

Once I got the file properly named (since with the option unchecked I could see the whole name), everything worked as described.

Thanks!

Now, if I could just get my bluetooth partnership to sync, instead of telling me every time that there is no supporting partnership...

-->Aaron

Here are a couple of screenshots of the hacks I made on this.

I've attached to O2 Atom Icon as well.

mrailing, I have supplied a photo of the M3100 as well as two other devices I use, if you would be very kind enough to create graphics for them. I know I'm taking liberties here, but your work is genius and I really don't think I could replicate the professional look with my poor image editing software (MS Photo Editor alas! ).

Unfortunately the photos are bigger than the dimensions you require. Resizing them in MS Photo Editor resulted in severe loss of resolution.

Check out Post #3 for the updated ICON set photo, and Post #9 for the actual icons.

Ok, since the image was changed from the Open QTek to a closed one, I added it too, and moved the QTek icons to Post #7, with the Dell and Orange M3100 device in Post #9.

Enjoy!

As always, images need to be "at least" 256 x 256, bigger is ok, with a solid background (appreciated).

Always check out Post #3 for the current Device Icon picture list, and check that for updates to icons.

I haven't installed Vista yet but what is the display size of the icon within the window (Windows Mobile Device Center program) when it is running? Does the icon resize when you maximise the window? Theoretically would you want the images to be of the highest resolution possible so that detail isn't lost?

I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether the image behaves like the Vista sidebar gadgets in the way that they resize.
