Mine is doing it too. Im kinda wondering if it has something to do with the PDA connecting to the internet ad-hoc. Because if you look in the network settings, the adapter obtains an ip, and its one the router spits out....

I don't have any SPB apps installed and the IP my adapter gets is just the 169.254 address which is not on my router spits out. And I cannot get on the internet when cradeled to my desktop PC. Which I know I used to be able to do.

Well, as was stated in a previous post, the 169.x.x.x is an APIPA address that a microsoft device asigns it's self when it can't find a DHCP server on a network. All I can guess is that when you plug the phone into the dock, which is when the error appears for me, the phone is looking for a local nework address that the PC it's connected to can't asign. Does anyone know of a reg hack that would just disable the error, and not fiddle with the DHCP settings in the phone??? The hack in the previous post seems like it would disable the phones ability to recieve an address on a local wireless network as well......

Thanks.

Interestingly enough, I get the same problem on my sprint 6700 phone... and sometimes (like just now), I'm not even connected to the Internet with the phone when it does it. In fact, I was just making a phone call with the 6700, and when I hung up, the message popped up. Happens to me at random times a few times a month. I just click OK and don't notice any issues. I have no idea why this happens. Right after it just happened, I decided it was time to do a quick search, when I happened onto this thread and figured I'd share my experience.
