I used the Plantronics Discovery 640 and had some issues with WM2003, but once I upgraded to WM5 all those issues went away. It was a disconnection issue and the headset just wouldn't stay connected. It would work for a while, then would just disconnect within a few seconds and I would have to re-pair the headset and phone, and then it would work for a few calls up to a few days, and then would have problems again. I have since sold the 640 and picked up the 645, which I have only used with WM5, and I have zero issues with it and the i730 on WM5.
The 640 and 645 were/are very similar products. I know there were some people that didn't have issues, but if memory serves me right, I think the issues outweighed the benefits of it with WM2003. WM2003 Bluetooth was a little screwy, but seemed to stable out quite a bit with WM5.
