Tried the *7560 to disable and get the same tone as when I forward calls.

When I use the *756 it just connects and then after a second or two the call ends.

This is the same functionality as when I use call forwarding, so I assume that it is working.

Hope this helps (i.e. that the successful use of these codes indicates that the system is changed).

That would mean it's active. If it's not active, you hear a message about the feature code not being recognized.

If it just stutters, or disconnects you, it's available and working.

The latter. Here is the information from the Verizon FAQ page, question/answer #10. The link is on the first page of this thread.

Quote:
What if I do not want my data session interrupted? How can I prevent an incoming voice call from interrupting my data session?
You have the ability to disable the CPOP feature from your device, or you can simply ignore the incoming call and let it go to voice mail. The following codes can be dialed from your device keypad to either deactivate or reactivate the CPOP feature.

Deactivate CPOP: Dial *7650 (Prevents Voice Call from interrupting Data Session)

Reactivate CPOP: Dial *765 (Allows Voice Call to Interrupt Data Session)
BTW, still not working in northern New Jersey.

This morning when I tried *765 for the first time I got a series of 3 quick beeps and then the call ends. Each time I've tried after that nothing, just a disconnect. If I do *7640 I get the tones again (I'm presuming that means i've turned the feature off) then I can turn it back on by calling *765 and I hear the confirmation(?) beeps that its back on. If that makes sense..

I can confirm that its working here (I'm 1X service in the basement where I work, EV other areas of the building/outside.) Seems to take a ring or 2 on the caller side before I saw the pop up on my screen indicating an incomming call.

Just tried *765, got the 3 quick beeps and started a data synch and called my phone - appears to be working. I'm in Northwestern PA.

Now if they'd only get EVDO up and running...

pw-man...good luck on the EVDO front. They just got it in Allentown which is the 3rd largest city in PA behind philly and pit. Verizon seems to have no idea when or where they will roll EV out. A full month or 2 after they got EV here I recieved a txt message inviting me to my local verizon store for a demo of this 'new feature' comming soon to the area..

I copied that directly from Verizon's page.

CPOP is now active here in Southern Indiana. So nice...

Sorry about the dyslexic typing of the numbers. I used the numbers from the FAQ that mrailing put out.

That's what I get for being a hunt and peck typer.

Where in Southern Indiana are you? Doesn't seem to be working in Bloomington yet.

1X 730 question

Currently still on 700. If I upgrade, can I continue to get 1X for the price of minutes? Can I get the 730 without a data plan?
