OK, so why don't we include links to sites that have information on themes, dial skins, and instructions on customization. We have had many people ask about this already in other threads, but let's get a complete list here and see what we can actually do.
Here are some good customization instructions and themes:

I don't think the smart dialer will work with our phone. I messed around with it for about an hour today with no luck. I am looking for other versions of it to test as I know there are a few different versions for different phone...

eek, if you guys are installing additional programs just to have skins I feel bad for you guys because that is pretty much bloat ware.
Windows Mobile 5.0 was designed to be very... VERY customizeable. Microsoft showed it off at the Windows Mobile 5.0 launch event were you could change not just colors but the shapes of buttons, have live RSS feeds on the home screen, Videos play for incoming calls, etc . You could have animated gifs, Macromedia Flash and even full length videos that would play on your home screen all done natively in the OS. Only problem is that it seems so far no one realizes that Microsoft has a WM5.0 Theme Generator or no one has been able to acquire it since they haven't pubically released it yet..... yet
Most of the link above go to sites with instructions on how to customize the look of the i730. Some include files that are the actual theme files that you load. Yes some of the links are also programs to help you generate themes as well. I know of no links above that include and software that loads to the i730 for theme manipulation, just themes themselves, or instructions...
The smart dialer program we are talking about is a program that is similar to the keypad dialer from a smartphone, where you start typing the name based upon the phonetic alphabet, and it does a contact lookup. This is something I miss from the i600, and I am looking to get it back in the i730. I had EZDial, but it doesn't work with WM5.

Buzzdev.net has a Control Panel Extension called SoftKeyAppletEx that will make it easy to change the softkey programs and display on the Today page without going into the registry.
It was buggin the crap out of me that I had both soft and hard keys for Calendar and Contacts.
You might submit the link to that program over in the Hacks and Tweaks thread. I am planning on using that thread to help build the WM5 Setup guide....

After a little bit of research I got the dibbs on where this theme came from (Which is the Theme which has a Video playing on the front screen, also with differently shaped buttons, etc)
Many different dial skins available including video apps for the today screen. You might list links to threads you find with good information. I am looking for ways to create my own Today themes, and dial pads...

Actually it came from PhoneThemes.com. Basically what happen was Microsoft contacted them and had them put together the "content"and design the skins. Then it was sent off to Microsoft and Microsoft put it all together. No, PhoneThemes does not have the Theme Generator... yet.
Microsoft is supposed to be coming out with Microsoft Windows Mobile 2005 Theme Toolkit hopefully soon. Like I said earlier this theme tooklit will provide you with the abilities to not only change colors and buttons (This is as far as XDA developers have gotten) but locations of objects, close button, videos, ringtones, nitifications styles, and much more.
I went through the links that MRailing provided (Thanks by the way) and XDA has gotten the furthest with making a "natural" theme. Some of the links did require software.
WM 2005 themes are actually .cab files. You can rename any of .tsk file to a .cab file and open it up with WinCE Cab Manager. IIRC, you basically throw the images into the .cab file and assign the images by registry keys. It doesn't seem that hard to do. XDA Developers have not been able to find any registry keys for all of the cool things yet... but they are still working on it.

I would like to install this theme on my i730 but I can't find it on MS web page or on PhoneThemes.com. Do you have a link to it?
For some reason, I am unable to change my today theme to anything but the pre-installed tsk files that are locked in ROM in WM5. I can see the themes listed in the Today Theme selection screen, but when I attempt to select one, the WM5 default today theme ends up displaying.
I have put the tsk files in the My Documents folder. I tried moving them into the Windows folder. They don't work in either place.
I don't know if its related, but I just installed MRailing's new cab file to set up WM5.
