Extracting data from the SPD & STG Backup files

I have been having some issues with my i730. Basically it wouldn't boot. So I did a hard reset and a restore. Everything was fine except for ActiveSync with Exchange. After fighting with that I gave up and did another hard reset and started to set things up from sratch. ActiveSync now works fine.

But now I have alot of data in my backup files that are not on my device, but I would like them to be. My call log, text messages and notes to name the most important.

Does anyone have any idea how to get this data out of the backup files?

Thanks

To a point. Do a backup of the phone right now (FULL Backup). Now restore a previous image and get your notes. The call log and text messages might not work correctly as when you redo another image it will overwrite these items, so it would be best to write down the information from the text messages that you need, or if you need proof of them, do a screen shot of each.

Next, restore your best image and go from there.

As far as the call log goes. Go to verizonwireless.com and log in to your account. From there you can download you call history as a Comma Separated File (CSV), which you can pull directly in to Excel or a database and get access to those records.

That's about the best way to get the information out of the backups.
