Is there any interest in the product still? I would be willing to try to get a group buy together. They said that they need to know how many before they can give a discounted price.
I might be interested, but I need to obtain more information about the different Seido models. I very much like my ProClip but am disappointed that I bought it about a week before they introduced the one with the built-in power adapter. Thus, for several months I've been considering "upgrading" my ProClip to one with a built-in power adapter. I would consider getting a Seido instead. I'd like to see more details first, though.

I purchased the proclips self powered holder and have absolutely no complaints. i'm really tempted to said no to seido. I wanted their product solely for the audio out adapter. This sucks!
I guess I'm in, but it depends on the price. it's hard to justify $120 bucks for it when I already paid $60.
Also in the last post, I posted a link to the Seidio announcement in the mall section.
Yes continue to discuss it here, but those were some more people interested in it.
Thanks Michael. I don't know how I missed that thread when I searched. Since Seido is responding to that thread maybe we can ask him about a group buy. I asked their general order email address.

what to do? oh what to do?
I purchased a Gomadic one for $60. But the possibility of line out and tip/slide is probably going to make the deal for me. I went to the link in the mall and asked the Seido guy if we could get a discount so let's cross our fingers.
I have the proclips powered holder also - and like it alot.
I don't undertand the appeal of the seido - what am I missing?
I keep hoping that ABE will sell their Bt 80C cassette streaming device
so I could stream from my i730 to it, in the car. I actually sent them mail
again today about it...
If you had the Seido what would you connect to it?
The disappointing thing to me about the Seido cradle, is that the audio still comes out of the side of the phone. The only advantage of the Seido with audio is that it has a speakerphone built in. After dropping the i730 in the cradle, you have to plug the audio into the side of the phone. If you are going to use a tape adapater (or in my case, a line-in to my car stereo), the Seido with audio doesn't really give any big advantage over the Seido w/o audio; or the pro-clips for that matter.

You are not missing anything other then a line mic in and auxilary power for a BT GPS receiver. The i730 doesn't support audio out through its usb connection hence the need for the line cable unlike the HTC Wizards where their USB out supports line out. Also the fact that the 2.5mm out on the 730 is a proprietary line out so you have to make sure to get the right adapter as well. This is only for the G4600m the 4100 has the same functionality as the proclips powered mount except the G4100 has aux power for BT GPS receiver.

I don't think it is seido's fault for the line cable. See my post above.
Hold up! I just looked at the pictures provided by Seido in the other thread. I didn't realize you have to still connect to the headphone jack of the i730.
Dead.. count me out. Proclips is doing what I need right now. In fact I'm probably going to get the extention piece and the Blackberry holder. They've got great service and great products.
But good luck to you guys on the group buy. And I'll be looking for your reviews on this unit when you get it. Great work to all of us staying in the loop and on top of Seidio on this. I love this community!
