Regarding usage, and the landscape keyboard, I figured I'd respond with my disapointment of this and my usage as well:

10% Phone Calls (Sorry I left that out at first)
10% Database Management (SmartOffice & Contact)
10% email, txt messaging and verichat (AIM, MSN)
10% Internet browsing
15% Watching my Slingbox (TV) or downloaded movies/shows while my wife shops
5% Changing the chanels on the TVs at the bars & BestBuy
5% Tethering via cable and bluetooth
7.5% controlling other computers with Logmein
7.5% Using the GPS in my plane with ControlVision software, or in the car with iGuidance
15% listening to music through bluetooth headset
5% Viewing satelite photos & getting traffic updates

I'm sure I'm leaving a ton of stuff out as I basically use it every waking minute of my day! There is no better device out there, and from what I've seen, there doesn't appear to be anything coming with a better processor or functionality. I'd love to have a camera though.

Wow! With all of the cool things you guys are doing with the I730, I am humbled, and truely feel like I am in the presence of greatness. I just basically use mine as 60% phone, 30% PDA, and 10% internet access.

Is there a chance that a child board could be started under the I730 board with specific how-to's for all these great uses. That way, we wouldn't have to search through threads? It's very hard to search for something when you don't even know it exists. Until I stumbled onto this thread, I didn't know that any of this stuff could be done. If we had everything in one place, we could just look through what's available, and choose whatever interests us, even if we didn't think of doing it initially.

Anyone else feel the same way?

That is what the FAQ and stickies are all about... They get you information and get you on track, as well as just being apart of the community. You have been registered for a while, but it doesn't look like you have spent much time actually in the boards. Just spend time hanging out, reading and threads like this popup all the time, as well as walk throughs being posted. Having a second forum would just cause a lot of redundancy, and once you start seeing some of the key terms and software, just do a search and read, and you will find out more that way than someone holding your hand and spending the time creating redundant tutorials in another thread. This is all volunteer, so who is going to create all these "how-to's"? Many suggestions like this are made, and I say, if you want to write up how-to's, feel free, and they will get placed in the FAQ, or linked to in the stickies someplace.

If you read the Setup Guides, you find lots of different software you can try and use, which leads you to threads on software/applications, which in turn leads you to threads like this, which started out as a "how-to" or fun things you can do (I know, because I started it)...

You just have to spend time reading, contributing, and joining in the conversations, then you find the "fun" stuff to do. That's why it's great to be apart of a community like this...

Yes, I understand all of that. Unfortunately, I just don't get a chance to get online very often. I drive 3 hours a day to and from work, am on call 24/7, have 4 kids and 2 dogs at home, and my wife works opposite shifts than me, so time is a problem. I enjoy reading the threads whenever I can, I just thought it would be nice to be able to scan down a list of things that other people have done, and be able to get info on the ones that I am interested in. When the information is spread across time and many threads, it is sometimes just too time-consuming to locate. Plus, without having the time to search for things (even if I was searching for something specific), I wind up asking questions that have already been answered. I apologize for that, BTW, but sometimes I only have small windows where I can ask a question, and then check for replies. I will try, however, to be on the forum a little more.

audible.com

Instead of going to the library to get books on tape, I now use audible.com and download audio books right to the i730. With Sarcasma's BTAudio Toggle program, you can stream the content to what ever BT headsets or devices you want.
