I posted a message in another thread asking if anyone had success running MIDPSSH on the i730 since it was a Java application but no response. I figured Java application installation in general should deserve its own thread since I have not seen it covered in my searches (other than some people trying to load webpages with Java).

So can you install *.jar Java applications on the phone (does it have its own built in Java Runtime Engine)? Since the whole point of Java was to make it OS-agnostic - it would make sense to me this should work. Anyone who has tried this - please post results. A bit leary of installing anything I am not sure of since PocketZen seemed to have messed up bluetooth on my i730 and I had to get it replaced.
