Using Voicecmd over BT headset with full audio/mic support
This is the beginning of some work on the VC issue. Using this method will allow you to use VC instead of VS and use the headset as normal. The main current limitation to the hack is that it will keep the audio connection always open, the same way kiling the phone does. Usefull if you want to listen to music over the headset also. This is fine for boom headsets such as the moto 850 since closing the boom will drop the connection and switch audio back to the phone. Reopening the mic will not pull the audio back to the headset, unless you press the button again. Also placing a call using the headset and ending the call switches the path back to the phone, so its fine for making calls. This is still in testing and the plan is to have an app that lets you select what path you want, but, for now its pretty usable.
To use the hack, install VC and then copy the voicecmd.exe over VoiceSignal Launcher.exe (after renaming it to VoiceSignal Launcher.exe) in the windows dir. Then copy over the attached dll. Soft-reset and you should be good to go.

damn superdave ur good it works great!!! First i thought i had to delete VoiceSignal Launcher.exe and rename voicecmd.exe to VoiceSignal Launcher.exe but it wont let me delete VoiceSignal Launcher.exe so i renamed voicecmd.exe that worked so i tryed to delete VoiceSignal Launcher.exe again it did so i think but all that was deleted was voicecmd.exe that i just renamed but it worked useing VS with the attached dll. it just launch VS and keeped the signal open when i get a call VC goes on the phone and tells me whos calling and the headset beeps and i can make calls and everything ... When i turn it on by press the botton on the headset it launch VS and i have to hold down the botton till the VS screen goes off also when the signal is open and then i turn it off from the headset i got to softrest it to make it work again..
So itryed it another way you never said to just rename voicecmd.exe to VoiceSignal Launcher.exe and leaveing two file that is name the same in windows dir heheh So i did it that way so now it works the right way. I can now hear VC telling me who is calling over the headset much easyer this way now if someone came change the computer voice on VC to a real sounding one like VS it'll be a keeper for sure.. Thanks again Superdave.
I hear VC through headset-Ericson-662-BUT it is not reading my verbal commands. Call Kyle, I get call Eddie, or a media function of some sort....
It is not understanding anything I ask of it!
Not sure what this is all about but I tried to reinstalling with the same problems!
SUPER DAVE HELP!

This could be the same problem Voice Signal is having with voice recognition with bluetooth.
I am leaving in about 10 mins to drive to an appointment, and I will be testing this as I drive. I will be using the same headset as you 3goldens, so I will let you know what I find out about it.

I've never really paid much attention to the BT headset threads because I don't use one, nor plan to. However, I do use BT in the car. I never put 2 and 2 together, but would this work in the car as well? It connects as a "hands free" device like a headset.
Has anyone tried this? I would imagine I could give the commands into the car rather than the phone. Would this put audio over the speakers in the car?
So far, my recognition has been pretty darn good. In fact, 100%. Even in the car. I'm using my Moto HS-820. I'll have to try it with the HBH-662 later tonight.

Agreed - my HS820 works pretty well, though there are still more "misreads" than there should be, especially when there is ANY background noise at all.
That's the way VC is supposed to work on this phone!!
Thanks SD.
The recognition is a bit more touchy, but that's related to the wireless clarity of BT. The more clearly I speak the better it works. Totally acceptable recognition for me. I'll try in the car on the way home.
FYI...I'm using the Scala-500
There is a NIGHT and DAY difference between my Moto HS820 and the SonyEricsson HBH-662. With my Moto, I must say, even in the car, I've had 100% recognition. Not a falter.
Came home and fired up the 662, I could barely even get it to acknowledge that I had said something. Sometimes it would, sometimes it would just cancel out.
There's something different in the way these units work that makes this happen. Gonna try the HS-850 next.
The 850 seems to behave much like the 820, excellently. I haven't had the 850 out in the real world but my 662 is basically non-functional with BT/VC hack.
