Notice he says no camera and doesn't mention wifi. I'm still hopeful though those features will be included in the version Verizon releases (whenever that may be)...
I worked this years CES, and you know what, these press guys butcher a lot of stuff during the little press pieces. They each get 30 sec. total of air time. So, they come up and ask questions and go off of that. Never really accurate... I saw it at CES and in the US CDMA. A GSM version might have been there, but my close contacts here suggest that it will only be offered in US in CDMA... Has to do with bandwidth from what I was told... Samsung doesn't want their products to look as if it is not performing up its capabilities here in the US, so no smartphone for GSM... Much like the highly anticipated GSM version of the i700... It never surfaced due to that very reason. Have you ever seen a GSM with a pull up ANT lately... There hasn't been one ever I believe and they never will... It is always and only the CDMA phones that have the pull up ANT (-i700/i600) there is always an exception... Even in Korea where you can connection in the subway cars, the CDMA EVDO phones from SK have pull up ANT... That guys was greatly mis informed... He should be roasted....

Another interesting observation:
You can never really get a feel for how small/large these phones are untill you actually play with one. I had a demo of the XV6600 and I found it to be a bit large. The video posted in this thread from CTIA (most current video) makes the i730 look a quite a bit larger than this video
I agree with you Bigbizkit, you can't really tell until you hold one.
I could never really tell from that MSMobile picture. The i730 is in a clear plastic display case so the T-Mobile phone is actually closer to the camera than the i730. Even two inches at that close up could make it seem smaller than it is.
For me, the JAM is irrelavent because I am going with Verizon and the only other option close to this is the XV6600 - which is just a little too big. So....I wait.
I'm on Verizon right now with my new every two discount locked and loaded for the i730. The XV660's size is no big issue for me. However, the intergrated wi-fi and being a wee bit faster along with (I hope) a little better camera as an added bonus has me waiting as well.
Yeah - I do believe that the date of release, wifi, and camera (well, and the price) will decide it for me.
If it comes out in the first half of April and has a 1.3 MP cam, then I can trade in my XV6600 which I'm getting around the first of the month . . . (I really really really need a PDA!!!)
If it has 1.3 MP cam AND wifi, then I'm sold and I'll try to invest in it whenever it does come out.
It all depends on how much Verizon decides to cripple this amazing "GSM" device.

Nothing sepctacular, but it's pretty cool to actually see the phone being used a bit.

Every 2 years-Tried to get the VX 6600 last month when they had a 150 dollar "discount", but they wouldn't let me use the $100 for my new phone in combination with the rebate.
