My wife recently purchased a Samsung SCH-i830 at a garage sale. The phone is locked with a password and the previous owner is not responding to emails asking for the password. Can someone send me the instructions on how to do a hard reset on the i830? I tried the instuctions for a hard reset on the i730, but it doesnt work. Search reveals lot of post on hard resetting the i730, but none on hard resetting the i830.

The way it is on Verizon's is to hold down the left softkey, push the stylus into the hole on the bottom for 7 seconds, keep the button held down for 7 seconds or until it says formatting.
