Thumbs down verizon quick2net/dialup done?

Was working fine about a month ago...

Still works on my sister-inlaw's i730. Can anyone else confirm?

Contacted Verizon to check my account...
Primary Subject: Network and Coverage
Secondary Subject: Report Service Issue
Message Body: I need to use the Quick 2 Net service and it currently is not working. I can connect to the network but no data is transferring. Can you confirm that Quick 2 net is working for my account? This has worked perfectly in the past but has not for the past few weeks.
Thank you

......gave me the following after 13, 14 emails.

Thank you for contacting our Verizon Wireless website. We are happy to assist you with information about the Quick 2 Net connection.

First and foremost, please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed response. Due to an extremely high volume of customer email inquiries, the response time has been longer than expected. We greatly value your business. We understand that you have made an investment in Verizon Wireless and resolving your concern is our number one priority.

Verizon Wireless is no longer providing the Quick 2 Net service. Using a PDA as a tethered data connection to provide Internet access to a PC requires that you have both the Mobile Broadband Data plan and the 5 Gigabytes of Mobile Broadband Connect feature on your account. Adding this feature to your account will enable you to use your PDA to connect your Windows PC to the Internet using our 60-80kbps NationalAccess network 400-700kbps Mobile Broadband network (where available). For your convenience, we have listed the pricing options for these two features below:

- For lines that have a voice-calling plan and the Mobile Broadband Data plan, the 5 Gigabytes of Mobile Broadband Connect feature can be added for an additional $15.00 per month plus $0.05 per Megabyte in excess of the included 5 Gigabytes (5,120 Megabytes).

blah blah blah

The Gods are friendly my friends....somehow it's been fixed by someone at Verizon. I'll post any info I find. I did send multiple emails to different depts at Verizon.

About to lose all hope...free (fast-enough) internet is back! God I love this phone.
