I'm tired of lugging my Dell up 260 foot ladders just so I can connect to a serial port on an ethernet switch and change a few settings. Since I carry my i730 anyway, I'd love to be able to use it instead. Is there a hyperterminal equivalent for the i730, along with a cable that provides a 9 pin serial connector?

As a side note, a cable that provides Ethernet connectivity would be a nice thing to have also.

There is a company that sells a serial cable for the i730

However, they report limited stock on their website.

I have occasionally used PocketPutty as a terminal application on my i730

I don't really know of any solution to hardwire the i730 to Ethernet.
