Last I heard Kushiel said he did but it wasn't stable. He said he would try to work on it in September but I haven't heard anything since then...I really hope he or someone else would because I really don't care for the newer phones that much and still love my i730.

Awesome. That is good to hear.

I still love my i730 too and will use it till the death! Though that's not likely, because I use a pretty tough armored case hehe

The only thing I will add is that by putting 6 on the 730 you will probably cause the same memory issues that my 6800 has as the footprint of 6 and 6.1 is bigger than 5. Both of these devices only have 64meg to work with in that area. It can make multitasking a nightmare. Lots of low memory errors even with skinnied up custom roms to save space and make room to run. This seems like a prob ledm with no solution. I wouls say, as nice as a new OS would be, you might wanna stick with wm5 for this one.

I've been running 6.0 since I got my 730 about a year ago; happily I might add

And there are a lot of nice features I'd like in 6.1 too. I love my 730 and if I could get 6.1 on it, that would be awesome

Where did u get winmo 6 for the 730? There was a whole thread dedicated to this that I never saw come to fruition. We all upgraded from wm2003 to wm5, but I have yet to see a wm6 rom for this device. Would you mind sharing where you found that? Thanks!

Boooo. For some reason I thought when I upgraded my OS I went from 5 to 6, not 2003 to 5. I had forgotten about 2003 heh. Damn, that's too bad.

Alright well then!... Has anyone gotten WM6.0 running successfully on the i730?

I wanted the SGH-i760 not only because I love the desigb but also because it apparently had AKU 3 on it via Windows Mobile 5 which I think would have been ideal..especially to try to get that on the i730..it would have been an update without the bloat...but they don't sell them anymore..stupid companies.

Phones & Devices - Verizon Wireless Support

Just click on the one named Samsung i730 Upgrade Download, connect your i730 via Active Sync 4.2 (download and install that from filehippo if you havent already for XP) or if you have Vista download and install the Windows Device Center update.

No, it's a Verizon-specific software update.
