I730 Redux

I have been following all the threads for some time now but am feeling a bit behind the curve. Much of what has been said about the I730 with WM5, which I reluctantly upgraded to finally recently is laced with dead links and old posts. Maybe I am the last guy standing to own an I730 but I have a few dumb questions that don't seem to be answered or have out of date answers. Move me to another thread if you think I am in the wrong place but here goes: Most of the Phone Skin posts are seemingly dead. I am still looking for a phone skin (and install instructions) that has speed dial on it. Further I am frustrated that upon connection the keypad disappears. Few of us make calls anymore where we are not required to keep punching away as an automated device tries to direct us. The standard blue dialer background is awful in full sun and a good, strong contrasting screen combo would be great. I have installed all of MRailings Tools and SD's Auto Step. I don't notice remarkable speed improvements and WM5 seems to have thrown an anchor into the water. I also may have made a mistake because when I use the side up-down screen on/off slide switch, it brings up SD's Auto Step each time. Can I avoid that after setting it? Any other tips to get me up to speed would be great. Thanks.

If you want to bring the keypad back up during a call, hit the left softkey labeled "Keypad"

I hear you but doesn't it seem, given the number of times, (voicemail, automated airline systems and the like), you have to use the keypad after connecting, the software design would leave it up?
