Whenever I jiggle the cable when it is charging, the phone acts as if the cord was just plugged in again. So it does the "Charging..." popup Notification again and plays the sound as well.
This wouldn't be so bad except that it does it literally whenever the phone is moved by even a slight *millimeter*, and that stupid Notification "Charging..." comes back up every single time. It's so bad that sometimes it even happens when I'm 20 feet away; it's ridiculous. The bad part is that because of that stupid Notification pop-up that happens constantly, it is literally ***impossible*** to use the phone at all while it is plugged in.
This is what it looks like when using my phone while plugged in: "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" "Charging" RAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
Is there a way to disable that stupid Charging popup??? Or even just change the sound??
I am now confronted with similar problem. Did you find a fix to disable the notification?
Lol, 2 months later first reply, and I can respond within 20 minutes. Thank god for good ol forums' email notification
Nope, I never figured out how to disable or change it. And as you can see by the number of replies, no one else here knows how to either

Anyway, it got so ridiculously annoying that I decided to completely stop "physically" using my phone any time I needed to charge it. Basically, if it's charging, I'm not touching it; I don't even want to move it a single millimeter because of that ridiculously annoying notification popup.
I did find a workaround; something that has worked great for me.
2. I sync my PDA to my PC (ActiveSync) THROUGH the Bluetooth wireless.
3. And then I use MyMobiler to connect to my PDA so I can control my PDA 100% through my PC. (MyMobiler automatically detects that ActiveSync is using Bluetooth)
That way if I need to charge my phone, but I want to send a text message or do other stuff on my PDA, I can do it all through my PC without having to move/touch the PDA and get the stupid notification popup 3 times a second.
Has worked great so far! Hope that helps!

I am on business trip and so I am unable to try this. Could you please try this out and let me know if it stops charge notification?
I think I found something.......
Apparently the two end "blocks" of the connector (each has two brass contacts) are not stationary. Because of this they will, over time, get pushed deeper into the connector housing causing a poor connection with any cable / cradle. No matter how much you try cleaning the connectors it will make no difference. I took a small flat blade jewelers screwdriver and was able to pry up each block a bit so to make them a little more flush with the surrounding metal encasement. Keep in mind I'm talking about the black plastic block that houses the contacts....not the contacts themselves. I didn't need to raise them up a lot but apparently it was enough to make a difference. Since doing so I no longer have to push the phone down into the cradle to get a connection / notification. The car charger was the worst; after plugging it in all I had to do was look at the stupid thing and it would disconnect. Driving down the road was nuts....off - on - off - on. After doing the "repair" I can push, pull, wiggle the connector with no problems. So far, so good.
I have added a pic to help with what I'm talking about.
Hopefully this will help out those who are having the same issues I was.

How did you manage to pry the blocks up? Mine seem to be pretty rigid in there. All I can manage to do is scratch up the sides.
The charging and Battery Low notifications are so annoying. It amazes me that there isnt an option to turn this off. The device doesnt need to tell me every time I plug in the charger. Notifying me of something that something that I just did is ridiculously redundant. Is this Verizon's or MS's fault?
