It looks like my i730 may be dead. I can't get it to turn on. I tried putting it in the cradle and I get a blinking yellow light. I try connecting the charger directly and I get the same thing. I've tried putting some charge in a battery from the cradle directly, then putting it in the phone and it won't turn on.
I have also tried a hard reset, and that didn't seem to work, assuming the procedure I used was correct for a Verizon WM5 phone (top left menu button, pull power switch down, hit reset button).
The batteries I've tried are charging fine. I had used the phone only a short time before I tried to use it later and found it dead. I do have insurance on it, but all I have is my cell line. Fortunately, I have an old phone as a backup assuming I can get it activated.
What's the verdict on my i730? Is it dead or is there some trick I can use to revive it?
Really, if I were you, I'd call Samsung first and just ask their tech support what the blinking yellow light means. If they tell you it's borked, which I suspect is the case, then yeah, I'd do an insurance replacement. From my experience you'll either get a brand-new-ish i730 or maybe even a newer phone, like the i760 or something..

Ive had that happen. All I did was take out the battery for like 12 AT LEAST, put it back again, turn it on and it worked.
