I noticed that after any event (incoming voicemail, SMS message, or even a pop-up showing the battery is running low), the screen stays on (at the low setting). I think this is what's responsible for my low battery time (even with a new extended battery) - it's crazy that after a low battery warning, it leaves the screen on!! Anyway, I've got it set to turn off backlighting after 1 minute when not plugged in but something seems to be over-riding this. Does anyone have any ideas - what could cause the low-level backlighting to stay on for long periods of time after pop-ups or incoming messages?
