Insurance for a used i700

Just registered this morning... Got my i700 yesterday... I'm a happy camper!

When activiating my phone, Verizon said I couldn't get insurance on it because it's used.

Is there somewhere else I can get insurance on this thing?

Thanks,
Dio

I think I might go with Mobile ProTech. That's if I can figure out how to add a plan to the shopping cart....

Ya'll a quiet bunch...

Just an email reply from them...

"Thank you for contacting us. Our protection plans are only available at this time through authorized wireless retailers on new phones at the time of purchase.

Kind regards,
Mobile Protech.com
Customer Service"

This sucks...

Insurance on an i-700 might be overkill. $60 a year to insure a device that you can replace for $80-$90 doesn't really make sense.

I have been watching i700's on the auction sites and they are going anywhere from $50 with scratched screens, $80-90 in like new condition to $150 brand new.

I was glad I had insurance on my i700 when it fell out of the case to concrete, back when they were $400 with a two year Verizon activation, but I dropped it once the price for a replacement used one got down around $200.
