Folks,

I traded a handful of old parts for a Samsung i700 from a friend. Unfortunately the friend lost his 'installation CD'. Does anyone know where I can download it from? To be honest, I've combed the samsung site and found that they only 'host' the manuals for the i700.

Any ideas?

Don't know if you ever licked this problem, or not. In case you didn't, or there are others looking for the answer, I was able to find some USB drivers posted on the web at:

While they're trying to sell their own sync cable, it does seem to work with the Samsung cradle I bought. Have to hit Install several times in WinXP Pro.

(Now if I can just get the blasted thing working in Ubuntu Linux 6.60.10 I'd be EXTREMELEY happy!!!!)

I am new here, I have been seeking a USB driver for the I700 as well, I do not see reason to buy something that came free with the phone. I have found it before on the web, however when I needed it again, I could not find the place I was before, but I did find some great backdoor worms! Anyone who knows a safe link or has the driver, let me know please.

Maybe you misunderstood the link I posted earlier. Sure they want you to buy their product, but the link for downloading the drivers is FREE and you can download the drivers at no charge.

I downloaded it quite some time ago and have yet to be inundated with SPAM, or anything else from them so I'm sure its a safe place.
