How to install custom ring tones.

Ringtones must be in .wav format. You can install them by following these steps:

1. Connect your Pocket PC device to your desktop PC using Activesync.

2. Using the Activesync explore feature, copy your .wav file(s) to the \My Device\Windows\rings directory on your device.

3. Your .wav file can now be selected as a ring tone for your device from the Phone Settings ring tone drop-down (see instructions above)

4. Your phone will now ring with your custom ring tone!

You can record a custom ring tone on your device using your devices Voice Recording feature included in the Pocket PC notes application. The note application saves voice recordings as .wav files. Simply, make a voice recording on your device and copy that recording from the \My Device\MyDocuments directory to the \My Device\Windows\Rings directory.
