Taken for an AT&T ride

I hate these people. I can't believe I fell for what had to be a tech support trick.

See my thread regarding time zone issues. I decided to try and get this fixed again. My BJ still changes time zones at will. I left auto-update off for months. But what am I missing as far as updates my phone needs?

I was in contact with a Willie Kelly at tech support yesterday.

He convinced me he cared about my problem. He even went so far as to give me his email address and said to notify him immediately when the time zone changed. He even promised to call me back today. (that remains to be seen).

Well, the email address was bogus, returned to sender. I doubt I'll be called back also.

This will definitely influence who I go with when my contract runs out. Not that I expect better from someone else, but who knows?

Auto-update is now off again.

I have learned to lower my expectations, all of you should do likewise.

I know profanities aren't allowed but what *******s they are!!!!

That sucks. But the truth is that all cell phone companies techs do not know anything about tech support for smart phones.

I've had ATT (Both the original TDMA and Cingular GSM companies), Alltel, Sprint, Nextel (before the merger and after as a company phone), and Verizon. I even had Cellular One back in the day. I have to say that regardless of their flaws, I like Verizon the best. Their Pocket PC group seems to be pretty good.

If you're having problems with the adjustment of the time in your BJ phone with regards to DST please read below:

HERE'S THE DST LINK FOR THE BLACKJACK

Windows Mobile Updates for Daylight Saving Time

This link will lead you to microsoft.com and will be guided by an instructional wizzard for the steps.
