can not send email

i set up pop email using incoming; mail.comcast.net & outgoing; smto.comcast.net. I can receive all my email but I can not send.
I think it might be in my actual conection setup but I do not know.
Any help greatly appreciated...

SMTO or SMTP. SMTP being correct.
