Should I replace my 6700 with a BJ?

Right now I"ve got a Sprint PPC-6700 and have been having lots of problems with it (reboots - lose data connectivity all together - can't sent TXT messages sometimes)

Sprint has told me they would upgrade me (maybe) to the 6800, but I can't use Goodlink on it (and i'm not sure I want to use AS)

Plus I'm kinda tired of the size, and the foldout keyboard.

So, should i go to AT&T and get a BJ?

I live in Dallas - how is AT&T's coverage?

I'm doing just that. I just ordered my Blackjack today. I'm switching from Sprint to AT&T. If you give me a little time, I'll be happy to post my experience. I may receive my phone before the end of the week. I'm switching because I just finally got tired of lock ups, ultra fast batter draining, incoming/outgoing calls just not working (yes, I tried several ROMs). I'm hoping life it better with the Blackjack. I learned my lesson on the 6700...any problems, I'll be taking it back within 30 day period, even if it means just trading it in for a non-pda phone. At this point I just need a phone that makes & receives calls reliably.

I've had mine for 4 days now. I'm really liking it so far. I have a few gripes about reminders (but that may have been solved by "DontForget") and not really being able to sync to two computers. Other than that, so far so good.

One minor gripe...I don't like that you can't display multiple days of appointments on your today screen without a paid for Today screen plugin. Seems like somebody out there would have created some freeware that does this by now.

I was in the same boat as you... I got so fed up with the ppc 6700, that I dumped sprint all together and got a razr from ATT just so I could switch to ATT and then went with the Black Jack.

So far so good .... Plus most/all the problems were fixed with the Windows 6.0 upgrade. Sync goes smooth the only problem is with the 6700 you can view full webpages but on the BJ you can't .. however Skyfire mobile (skyfire.com) is releaseing a windows mobile browser that will allow you view full webpages with java.

Wow, old thread!

I had the Blackjack for 3-4 months, replaced it 3 times, and still was dropping calls. I ended up getting a refurbed Blackberry Curve 8300 for $29 and love it.

I do miss my slingbox client, though
