Email, Default Contact, Registry Questions

I have done some searching but using the above keywords either returns nothing or returns way too much non-relevant info. So forgive me if I am double posting, I did take a good look around first!

Email: I take a picture using the phone, and I want to send it to my home email. I see the options for Send via SMS and Send via Email. I choose Send via Email, fill in the topic, subject, it auto-attaches the JPG, etc. But when I hit Send, poof.. it vanishes and never shows up anywhere.

I see that it flashes "Outlook E-Mail" briefly at the top when it goes to send this, making me think it's using the "Outlook E-Mail" profile in Messaging to try to send it out. Problem is, I don't have "Outlook E-Mail" configured. When I go to configure it, it asks me to either use ActiveSync or configure an Exchange account, and I don't want to do either.

What I do have configured is a separate POP3 email account that I'd like the phone to use for my default sending and receiving. Any ideas?

Next: I have a friend in my Contacts that is synched to Outlook on my home PC. He has a mobile number, a Home number, a work number. I want to change his default number to his Home number, because it's currently set as his Work number. Meaning, when I select his name from the Contacts and hit Dial, I want it to pick his Home number instead of his Work number.

However, I can't find anywhere to change this "default" number. I go into his Contacts, try to use the Menu on the different numbers, try to Edit and then use the different numbers, nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

I also don't seem to have my Task Manager anymore. I open up Total Commander, play Media files, and then open up Messenging, yet when I click on the power button I used to see something like a task manager option, where I could quit applications.. but now it's gone.

Finally, I see the various registry tweaks in this forum and others, and have downloaded Total Commander and installed it on my device. But what I can't find is how to access the registry in order to edit it! Is it buried in a folder somewhere? Do I use my PC to connect to the phone and edit the registry from there? I'm pretty good at my PC registry using regedit, is this the same thing, I just have to connect to my phone's registry somewhere and edit it from there?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Well, I can't help you with the email or the contact questions. For Task Manager, all you have to do is press and hold the Home button and the Task Manager will appear. The Power button is more of a quick menu, and Total Commander may have wiped it out... but I can't say for sure, since I don't use Total Commander.

For my registry tweaks, I use PHM Registry Editor, which works just like the desktop version of regedit. It's free and I strongly recommend it.

Thanks, I mixed up the Power button with the Home button when I was trying to bring up the task manager. So that's all set now.. Doh!

I installed Total Commander as a recommendation in this forum (in the FAQ area at http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/597280-post7.html) to edit the registry. But it appears TC is just a file manager and not a registry editor. I will check out the product you recommended and see if that lets me get into the PDA's registry.
