I switched.
I'm new to this side of the forum. I just switched from the Sprint PPC 6700 to the Cingular Samsung Blackjack. So far the switch has been pretty painless and I haven't carried a device this small since before I bought a Treo 300.
I've managed to gain a wealth of information on the BJ from reading through posts on this board and I have it setup in a way that doesn't have me trying to reactivate my 6700. So far I've overclocked the processor and tweaked the registry a bit. I have also installed Agile Messenger, Slingplayer, and Core Media Player. The last thing I attempted was tethering it to my MacBook and that worked flawlessly. To top it all off, I just picked up a Jawbone BT Headset today to replace my Plantronics Discovery 640.
My only gripe is that the BJ does not support standard audio over the hands-free profile, so I can't use my Jawbone to listen to any of my media through the headset. So I'll be watching the boards closely for a resolution.
I was worried about EVDO vs. HSDPA, but I'm getting faster data connections than I ever managed with my 6700. So I should be sticking around for awhile or until the iPhone with 3G is released.
