Don’t use these guys: UnlockTeam - Remotely Unlock your mobile/cell phone - Any network, any country! I checked if my Blackjack II was on their list and their website is very misleading. Only after I sent them 10 US dollars and 5 hours later they emailed me back and said the charge was to help me find someone to unlock since they could not. Go to eBay or make sure you do a little research before you buy.

Man that sucks, maybe turn them into the BBB, and also check the BBB before you purchase anything from anybody. I made that mistake a long time ago.

I thought I heard somewhere that the cell company you buy the phone from has to give you the unlock code if you ask them for it. Does anyone know if this is accurate or just a false rumor?

First you complete your contract...then the carrier gives you the code...
