You MUST have a BlackBerry Data Plan from Sprint. Without a BB data plan, you have a very expensive phone, with no data (Internet/e-mail)....

Sprint was very, very getting into BlackBerrys. The last major carrier. Didn't fit with their business model.

I read somewhere that the monthly charge was around $50, before any discounts. Verizon is around the same.

njBlackberry,

You wrote: "You MUST have a BlackBerry Data Plan from Sprint."

That makes sense, but I can't seem to find any info on this. When I ask sprint, they say I don't need anything. I don't think they really even know. Some say that adding vision is all I need.

I've searched high and low on there web site, and can't seem to find this plan. Could you point the way to some information on it?

I found this, but all it really does is add vision...

Thanks for the help,

I know Sprint doesn't understand it (which is why I threw them out of my office three years ago when they told me that the BB would never make it)

I believe the plan is called the PCSVision Blackberry Unlimited Pack.

Without a BB specific data plan, you have a brick!

For anyone interested, I use this info to help Sprint figure out what to do. This is a subset of info I got from Blackberryforms.com

Hope it helps:

Please note! There are Blackberry data plans specific to the 7250 that MUST be added to the customer's subscription or else the customer will be charged for casual Vision usage on their bill. The following plans have been loaded into the ASI Request Template:

#B BBMIP MBU $50 (a primary plan - data only)
#B BBMIP MB5 $40 (a primary plan - data only)
#B BBMIP MBUATT$45 (attachable option)
#B BBMIP MB5ATT$35 (attachable option)
