Has anybody installed MiMessenger from Splendo on their BB and what is the general concensus so far? I've downloaded the program but have yet to make it work. I don't recall if it gave a BES or WAP version at download, but perhaps that is not why mine is working at the moment on my Nextel BB. Any experience with this program?
From what I can see, you have to have a bes server. I found this online. I was curious to find out what the program does. Am a Nextel rep with the Blackberry 7510 and love new apps. Let me know if you ever need anything for your Nextel. I would be happy to help.
If you get a static IP address on a Nextel phone (an option avaialble only to Nextel), you can run MiMessenger, WebMessenger, or IM+ on a BlackBerry without needing BES or MDS. Rogers also works too if you use BlackBerryOS 4.0. This information came from the BlackBerryClub.com website.
