I currently purchased a blackberry7750 from verizon. I am having trouble finding out what the attachement file is that comes through our email server. My company has a very secure email system. When I talked with blackberry they said that EPT.DAT should fix the problem.
I am looking to see if anyone has experienced the problem of finding the proper file name to let through the system

Are you using the BlackBerry Web Client, the Desktop Redirector or does your company have a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)?

Our company uses the redirector- we need to dial into our network to access email

I am a bit confused. The redirector requires a PC that is constantly logged in 24X7 into your network. Do you run the redirector 24X7 or only when you dial in??

I am sorry for the confusion- My desktop in hooked into our companies email system (t1)--- When I use the redirector anything with an attachment is blocked -- I am working with our IT people to find the right wording to allow the redirectors attachments to forward to blackberry. Blackberry has told me that it is EPT.DAT

I am wonder if anyone eles has gone through this problem what file attachment was used to let email flow through system
