Does anybody know how to set custom ringtones on the 7510? I went to the Nextel site and it listed a zillion of them, but none of them for the Blackberry. I read in the users manual about how to find a .mid file and getting the link, saving it and entering a tune name.... so as an experiment I put the Jimi Hendrix midi "Fire" on my website (http://petromac.com/fire.htm)... this file is 23k... after I went to the link on the Blackberry and clicked it, the message I got was message like the file is too large..... anybody know how large the midi file can be to use it as a ringtone? Is there a painless way to find ringtones for this phone?

How do you load a ring tone off the .midi site? It say select the tone and then *ring*ring. What does this mean to a newbie?

I'm sorry - I don't really understand the question. You need to have a browser which can get to an HTML site; either the BlackBerry Browser, which comes with a BES and MDS, or the Reqwireless Web browser. When you point to a midi file, the BB will ask if you want to download and save it. If so, it will be added to your ringtone list (found in Profiles).

I can download the .mid tones but not the multiphonic tones. Is there a third party product i need in order to use them?

No. If they don't work, they don't work. No third party applications available today.
