I recently purchased the Nextel BB7510 and noticed that my web browser is missing. A guy I work with bought his the day before myself and he has one. I have checked the hidden icons and it doesn't seem to be hidden. Nextel data support has tried to help me and the last time they said they were having a data outage and it would appear after the outage. Wrong. They've had me perform countless soft resets (half-moon+caps+delete) but nothing seems to be working. It just appears that the browser is not installed on my BB for some reason.

Anybody know either a.) how to fix this or b.) if I can download a browser independantly and install it?

Lastly, the topic of Instant Messaging has come up in the past a few times...anybody know of a (good preferably) IM client for AOL IM? Anybody tried http://www.webmessenger.com?

I had the same problem when I updated my BB OS. All I did was turn Wirelss ON and the Browser icon (and a few others) came back. Good luck!!

The Nextel Online browser should appear after you turn the radio on and get a status of NXTL on the 7510. Since you called Nextel, I presume they have properly set up your account with the BlackBerry service. Can you send and receive e-mails?

Okay here is what I had to do to get the second Web Browser to show. An this is how you install it.

Check your BES and make sure that MDS is enabled on both the server and on the blackberry user. Then make sure that server to be a "MDS Push Server".

Once you have done all of that the MDS will restart if it wasn't set to be a "Push Server" already. Once all three of those features are enabled reinstall the client software. Then do a sync. Once the sync is complete the new web browser icon will be there.
