On a BB 7730, is it possible to:

Change how long the light stays on?
Create Excel documents?
Turn off the keyboard backlight independantly from the screen backlight?
Chat on an MSN messenger type platform?

I can answer the first three:

Change how long the light stays on? No

Create Excel documents? Not without third party software. Check out eOffice from http://www.dynoplex.com

Turn off the keyboard backlight independantly from the screen backlight? No

Thanks...

That's helped on a couple, many thanks, but the dynoplex stuff won't go on my 7730 cost the OS build is more recent than the desktop build, desktop is 3.6.x and the handheld is 3.7.x so for some reason eCell won't install. Most annoying and no-one seems to understand and therefore solve the problem. Too new a device?

The MSN chat answer still outstanding?

Appreciate any help out there...

Download the latest handheld code from the Vodafone BlackBerry support page for the 7730; that should solve that problem.

The latest desktop is 3.6.2.9; that doesn't impact the handheld code at all.
