Sent Mail... how to get rid of it in the inbasket?

Using a 7230 w/Lotus Notes 6.0. When I send an email from the BB, it leaves a copy of what I sent in the in-basket with a "check" next to it. If I try to file these sent messages, they don't disappear from the inbasket. If I delete them, it deletes them from sent mail on the Notes server, which I don't want. How do I get it to hide the sent mail from the InBasket and only show it when I go into the Sent mail folder?

There is no parameter to hide sent messages. To delete them (while leaving them in your server sent items folder - forgive me if I get the nomenclature wrong, I don't use Notes), click <ALT> - O (the letter O - as in Outgoing). This will show only the Outgoing (sent) items. Scroll to the date, click the wheel, select Delete Prior Items and then confirm it. This will delete the sent items (only) from the handheld without touching the server.

Cool, so the "Delete Prior" will clear out the Blackberry of everything selected, without messing with the Server? That was going to be my next question... what to do when things start filling up on the BB.

Yes - Prior Delete does not touch the server. One of those undocumented features. As the BB "fills up", it will simply roll off (delete) messages on the Handheld. Haven't seen that happen on the 16MB models; used to happen rarely on the 5MB models, but only if you never deleted stuff.
