If you can set the D-pad up for TCPMP player volume and controls... why can't we set up the phone volume on it?

Can't be that difficult (although I'm not a coder).

TCPMP let me set up controls on the D-pad, and I assigned a soft key to open it.... why can't we get that granular with the phone controls??

Open Volume Bubble App

I found this on ppcgeeks or xda. Use this app to open the volume bubble. You can then use the scroll wheel or the D-Pad to adjust the volume. Enjoy.

Not sure if anyone else has found or prviously posted this. If you take your stylus and click on the speaker icon at the top of the Today screen, the volume bubble appears. You can set the ringer as well as the earpiece volumes to whatever you like.

Nice find. But now I'm stuck on the other half of the solution: separating the d-pad's center key from the scroll wheel-push key. In AEBPlus, "Enter/Action" shows up as a single key, and remapping it actually remaps both keys. If you set the "Enter/Action" key to "unbind only," you can then go File->Add button to add each key separetely. This works for the wheel-press button, but fails when trying to add the d-pad's center button... for some reason it isn't recognized anymore. So this leaves me with a non-working d-pad center key, and a wheel-press button that is mapped the way i want it. As you can see, not exactly an ideal solution. Any ideas?

Man, I was looking for a solution for this for a while. Both the 3 key press (which worked for me) and the vol_wm6 solutions are great but I'm going with the vol_wm6.exe. This is a must if you hide the top and bottom bars using vjtoggletodayiialpha.exe.

LoL, tried it and froze my phone. I think it got stuck trying to open the alarm clock (on today screen) and Contacts at the same time. A power down and restart fixed it.

It seems to work 100% of the time for me when I just press RIGHT and OK at the same time. I don't have to press the right software key. Just those 2 buttons simultaneously.

Using stock 6.1 and Verizon flavor.

Yeah, i did the "fat finger" way and it dint work the first 2 or 3 times but eventually it did. It does work. I like this option because I have the aluminum case on mine and dont want to have to open it each time I go to church to turn down the vlume. Plus, I lost that stupid stylus and my fingers arent as useful.
Why on earth did they put that stylus on the bottom. Did they forget about how gravity works?
