.Net App keyboard fix

Attached is the Altell keyboard driver for those that are still using the Sprint Rom, but, would like the .Net app keyboard fix. To install copy the keyboardfix.cab and trusted_cert.cab from the zip over to your phone. Run the trusted_cert.cab first then run the keyboardfix.cab. The installer should prompt you to reboot and the fix should be in place after the reboot.
,Dave

Edit:
Edited to change install to cab based.

Awesome superdave. Followed the directions and works like a charm. i did not want to go through the pain of the alltel Rom install to get this. Now I can't wait to get a new Rom with all the other stuff hopefully fixed

Definitely just made my day! Works like a charm.

I did back up the existing keybddr.dll prior to replacing just to cover my a$$.

It disabled all buttons and keyboard on my Sprint Mogul

I just tried this and after the reboot my keyboard and all buttons did not work. I had to do a hard reset, I use SPB backup so I wasn't worried about my data or apps.

Just FYI. I got excited because the keyboard bug is really annoying and Sprint always takes forever to come up with ROM updates. I guess it's just waiting for Sprint in my case.

Have tried unlocking it? Copy the files in the attached zip to /temp and run the Disable Security.lnk.

Make sure you have run the Trusted Cert cab, and make sure it says succesfull. If its not run then it wont accept the keyboard driver at boot and you will not have a keyboard. To recover from that you can just delete the dll you copied over though.

How are you trying to copy it? Have you tried copying it directly into the windows folder through Active sync? You could also try renaming the existing dll, if for some reason it was not the rom version. When you ran the unlocker did it say successful?

I edited the zip in the first post and changed the install process to a cab file. Try that and let me know.

I cant access the windows folder through active sync for some reason. Plus its really weird but when i try to copy the file, it says it cant b/c of an access violation. But then when i look for the .dll file in the windows directory, i dont even see it. But its there b/c when i try to copy the alltel version it comes in in the copy screen. The unlocker was sucessful, but no luck.

So did you just rename the .zip to .cab? I tried that, but it said the install was unsucessful..

Thank you for this fix! Why Sprint/HTC couldn't just release a CAB to fix it is beyond comprehension!
