Has anyone got this running properly on the XV6800? I ran the Cert cab then the keyboard fix and restarted the device. I get the same issue, I don't know if this is the original one this was meant to fix but for example, if I am setting up a new e-mail account, if I try to type in the e-mail address it will enter the letters in a weird order. William becomes wii,ma. I type at a decent speed and Fn is not enabled. It seams like theres some sort of T9 going on. When I type the first Wi its fine but then it highlights the next L i type so subsequent key presses of L cycle through the key.
It really is disgraceful they didn't fix this the entire time they were holding on to this device.
I think this is a different problem than what the rest of us were having... for us the Fn key, although not lit would be stuck on, and William would come out as !3==3_9
It's more like typing on a cellphone keypad. I'll press W and it will advance to the next spot, then I type i and the i is highlighted, subsequent key presses to I will cycle through the special characters, or if I press another character, it gets inserted, so the i moves on space forward. Its really weird, I guess I have to do a hard reset but I can't imagine what I have installed to make this happen

Dave, I have a new Mogul and use Mundu's WONDERFUL IM application MunduIM. The slide-out keyboard only typed characters (as if in "function mode"). I installed the 2 cab files, per your instructions, running trusted_cert.cab first, and then the keyboard fix cab, and all is well in Mogul-land. No other complications that I can see as of yet. THANKS!!!!
This thread's URL was forwarded to me by Mundu support, by the way.
the fix worked great, but some how it disabled the speak recognition on the Live search feature. When I deleted the keyboard fix, the speak recognition worked again.
Attached is the Altell keyboard driver for those that are still using the Sprint Rom, but, would like the .Net app keyboard fix. To install copy the keyboardfix.cab and trusted_cert.cab from the zip over to your phone. Run the trusted_cert.cab first then run the keyboardfix.cab. The installer should prompt you to reboot and the fix should be in place after the reboot.
,Dave
Edit:
Edited to change install to cab based.

This worked VERY well on the Verizon XV6800 to fix the function functionality stuck on problem I had with Mundo IM which now works GREAT! as an all in on IM client. Kinda sucked before not being able to use the kbd and all that... Thought I wasted my $8.20
This is the "official" fix for the issue on the XV6800; I loaded in on the wife's 2.09 Mogul and it loaded; but I haven't had a chance to check functionality yet.
That keyboard fix worked great! At first when I installed the new version of Windows Live Search, the keyboard only typed in symbols, but this fix was quick and easy thanks so much! I just can't wait for HTC/Sprint to come out with the ROM update for EVDO Rev. A and GPS Capabilities!!! Anyone have any news on when it should be coming out?
where in the mogul did you install these files to?
when i try to run the setup, a bunch of words and letters pop up and thats it.
where in the Mogul did you install these files to?

Update: Tested and it works on a Mogul
It requires a Contract number in order to get downloads..if I may ask.. what is that exactly?
