Thanks for all the work! I've got Opera Mini working perfectly from the start menu and it doesn't ask to connect every time I start it. Now I just have to add a shortcut to the Touchcube.

Did the final version of mini4 not get compiled the same way as the previous versions in the appdb version??
Anyone have any luck making direct links with the final version an jbed?

Fooling around with this today and it like like it has improved from the past. Have it working but have not gotten the link to work, but I tried to use Total Commander. Guess I better try Resco Explorer.
Rather interesting as the secure pages from Bank of America work to a certain extent, including certificates, I got to verifying my site key after it recognized I was on a different computer and asked a challenge question, then it went into an interminable wait after I entered the correct password... I guess this is reassuring?

It took a little fiddling but I figured it out how to get this to work on the Kaiser. There is no need to install jbed.exe because it's already present on the device (I've got an at&t tilt specifically).
First getting the network messages to go away. You need to edit selector.utf and change the
Code:
domain=untrusted, \
to be this (I did this in notepad myself)
That's three spaces after tckmax. That was all mine required. Also while you're there note the root that is there the root=s?_ you'll need that for part 2
Second getting the link working. This is almost exactly as it's written in the tutorial. The one thing that screwed me up wasn't in the tutorial at all. your .lnk file looks like this:
Code:
28#"\windows\jbed.exe" -run s8_
There is no return at the end of the line, that's what threw me. In this example s8_ is replaced by what you found in the selector.utf file.
Hope that helps someone.

Guys I have been working on this for a few hours now because I didn't want my first post as a newb to be asking a question, but here goes:
I have the VX6800 and have the OperaMini4 working but I can not get it to stop asking for permissions. I have changed the selector.utf file with tckmax and have tried with everywhere from no spaces before the comma to 11 spaces and the only time I can even get it to connect is with the untrusted domain. All other attempts are netting me the error "The MIDlet could not be instantiated: java.lang.NullPointerException".
Any thoughts? Obviously all help will be appreciated!

Everything worked fine for the first time through, no hitches. It runs very smoothly and a lot faster than PIE. I love the interfaces too - find where you want to read and tap, simple as that.
One big question/issue though - Playing YouTube videos. I've got the latest TCPMP and all that, so that's not the issue. It's just that whenever I click on a link in Opera Mini it goes directly to the page and doesn't open the menu to 'Play Video - Save Video - Copy Link(whatever)'. Is there any way to fix this?

This currently cannot be done through Opera Mini. The TCPMP workaround for YouTube does not support Opera Mini.

jbed error
Has anyone with a samsung i730 (wm2003 sp2-phone default) encountered a problem where they install jbed, and it doesn't function? Do i need an additional helper program? I used: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsu...ED+MIDLET+I730
And there was no indication of any other helper programs needed to get the java midlet to function. I continue to get an error saying that 'jbed' is not a valid Pocket PC application. I copy the file to phone and run it from my phone and other than the warning that it might not display correctly the installation seems normal.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I only have TCMP, and photocontacts installed. I do have the wifi fix installed. Otherwise I try to keep my phone clutter to a minimum.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but if you have an i730, why haven't you installed WM5? My last phone was an i730 and it was much, much better with WM5. Jbed may not be ppc2003 compatible, but it is compatible with WM 5.
