i'm debating on trying to write a mortscript that'll do it with the cursor and keypresses... course it'll have to be edited for each person depending on if operamini is the first option in jbed when it loads up or down a list...
After installing jbed opera mini works great but java stalls when trying
to load Sprint Music Store
I tried modifying selector (tckmax) as described , but when I do that I get a message like:
cannot locate ... s1 and opera wont start
restore the original selector and it works again
(s0 is music store s1 is opera)
Sprint Music Store
For those who might care:
I have confirmed that after uninstalling jbed and restarting device, Sprint Music Store on Touch will work again.
Until someone figures that out I guess you have to choose between one or the other if you (not me) have any interest in using music store.
[+, "Blanket" model easily and automatically hackable; see THIS. An except: "1.) Copy the file \windows\appdb\ selector.utf to your PC (make sure backup this file first in case something goes wrong!)
2.) Remove read-only attribute
3.) Open the file with a hex editor, and find the line "domain=untrusted, \". Replace the text untrusted with the text tckmax. Add space characters between the x (in tckmax) and the comma (otherwise connection warnings or a nullpointerexception error may occur).

I have to use the Jeodek lockstream Build 20070425.1.1 since Jbed version (0802) does not support the D-PAD. I have ppc-6700 WM6. I tried the above modification to get rid the net access prompt, the trick works on Jbed, but not the Jeodesk. I got java exception when using the modification on Jeodek. Can someone help? I also have tried signed version of opera mini 4 (demcok.ru/java/OM4x.jad, OM4x2.jad), neither of them work.
It's not working for me. I've edited the utf file with varying number of space characters, used the fix.exe and basically tried everything, but I still get the confirmation screens.
I am using the latest version of OM 4 and esmertec jbed
Hello, I've been going over this forum, I know there was some talk earlier of someone figuring out a way to change the .lnk icons for java apps in windows mobile. I have Opera Mini 4 and Jabp Lite running on my Moto Q9c, and I would really like to get the icons to be customizable since I am using Facade and the skin i have does not display program names when you highlight them, so right now my home screen has two un-named E icons. Has anyone had any luck changing the icons?
2. I try to open Opera mini 4 beta 3 (because I have it linked to the cube) and get "could not open suite s1_"
I got the operamini.lnk and put it into the \windows that way and used regedit to change the path to operamini.lnk; tries to open, but get that error described in #2
please advise

You delete opera mini by uninstalling it from your Java application.
If you opera is not suite s1, then you will get that error. Follow instruction on page 1 to determine your opera suite number and modify the shortcut to correspond to opera mini.
Did anybody ever figure out the problem with the shortcut when you get the Could not find suite s0_ error message? I am using Jbed and OM is the only applet I have installed, so it should be zero (on a whim I tried "1", but same error except the error is s1_).
No more security warning is great!

i got jbed and opera mini 4 working fine, but Im having the sprint music store problem others have. it's saying there is no authorizing certificate if i launch it directly from jbed(the shortcut is in jbed's "embedded" folder). is there any way to get jbed to ignore the lack of a proper certificate?
im not sure what i am doing wrong but i cant even get mini opera to install on my vx6800. I go to the website on my phone, choose mini opera 4 then click save as, and it saves it to my documents and i go the file and click on it and it says no program assoc with this file.. what am i doing wrong? Should i put that files some place else? I found no directions on their website as to what steps to follow..
... Creating/Modifying Shortcuts on Your Mobile Device
The following lists a couple of ways to create edit/create shortcuts with parameters on a mobile device.
1.) Use the excellent shareware application, Resco Explorer (the method I personally use, and find the easiest).
2.) Create the shortcut manually using any text editor. Shortcuts have the file extension ".lnk". So, for example, lets create a file in a text editor, and save it with the file name OperaMini.lnk, the contents of the file should look similar to this :
28#"\windows\jbed.exe" -run s0_
I did 2) in notepad.exe on my laptop, then moved it over to the Touch. I eventually found that I had to use
28#"\windows\jbed.exe" -run s1_
even though opera min 4 is the only java app installed on my touch (maybe 0 is reserved for the java music app that I never installed).
I did a regedit to add the shortcut to the iCube, and it works! With the facory installed java app, opera mini would just hang in seconds.
