I love this new revision of the dialer! I especially love how it integrates the Touch style smart dialer! Is it at all possible to remove the company logo from the call status screen (for obvious reasons)?
Thanks.

Yes, I have one that has no company logo, but I have to dig it out. I also need to hardcode out the vm icon in the 1 button.
This dialer supports most of the new skins being created, based on background images.
I've read all 11 pages of this thread, and I haven't found a solution.
Unfortunately, when I install the original dialer from the first post in this thread with the new ROM, my #1 (Voicemail) key stays whatever color the background is. All of the other keys are the proper color.

It was posted back on page #9
"This new button screwing up the skins is a new feature that Sprint added. To turn this feature off change this regkey.
HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\CDMA
EnableVoicemailIcon <-- set this to "0"
Reboot. Skins work again."

Paul, would you consider making a dialer w/ the speed dial button?
The Sprint .dll that this is based on has the SpeedDial Button function stripped out of it. I am sure you have seen it on other ROM versions, but these are all GSM. We need sprint to make a dialer with Speed dial in it again for the Mogul or Touch, then we can add it. Till then there is no way to do it without using GSM code.
Superfly,
Here is the one I use. This one has my company logo in the call status screen, but it is the "Touch" skin, all drawn with the background images and key text/number hidden.
It is not possible to skin the number buttons individually, so it is hard to get an "up/down" image on each button.
Uninstall the "Big Button" version and install this "Touch" version, then everything is drawn using background images rather than using the OS to draw the button labels.
Should make it easier to install the new background only skins going around.

Paul, I know you are probably busy, but I am still waiting on the version that has the digits keypad drawn into the graphics (like the one you posted above), no call history text, and fixed voicemail icon for latest rom.
I know how to modify the registry to make this work myself, but when skinning, it would be nice to direct people to this post and not have to explain to them how to make it work for them especially when it comes to registry editing.

I should be able to get it out this week or early next week. Stuck in Dulles Airport right now waiting on them to fix an emergency slide.

Superflysocial,
The "Touch" dialer you requested is now posted on the first post. I updated the old Big Button dialer to hide the action key text correctly. Both dialers now hide the icon on the 1 key automatically.
The new "Touch" dialer is based completely off background images and hides all the button text, including the button numbers so you are free to draw them any way you would like.

Company logo removed and reposted back on page 1 as BlueFrog_Touch_Dialer, also reg tweaked to autohide extra button on number 1.
May I ask if you know if your dialer and skins and which and in what combo work with No2Chems 6.1 ROM's? I had to stop using them some time ago because of incompatiability and I always had trouble getting them to uninstall 100% so I wanted to ask before I play
Thanks!
Alex
EDIT: Nevermind, none of them do. I just tested them on build 5067.
i have tried everything known to man to try to change this blue box color to black. But nothing seems to work can anyone tell me where i need to edit the registry value to turn this blue box black?

As the Touch Dialer strictly uses background images for the dial interface, you need to photoshop the Dialer_BkgdP.png and Dialer_BkgdL.png. You may also want to update the Progress_BkgdP.png and Progress_BkgdL.png.
Photoshop it to whatever look you want save it with the same name and copy it back into the \phoneskin directory on your phone, overwrite the current .png's. Reboot your phone.
Paul thanks , its working everywhere except for one area. When i start pressing numbers and it shows the smartdialing completion it shows blue. I replaced all 4 files. What can i be missing? When its actually dialing and before pressing any key my changes show. Only during smart dialing it is not working.

Oh yeah, they are located in \windows and are called indialer_ps.png and indialer_ls.png
Same thing edit, in Photshop save and overwrite the ones in \windows. Reboot.

First, I want to thank Paul Hammons and all the other people who shared valuable information in this thread. I really wanted bigger buttons, so I'm very grateful.
To give back, I want to share what I've learned, and share the skin I made.
Things I learned:
Paul's program works perfectly on my Verizon XV6800. I even tested the 911 facility (sorry to the operator). Everything works. So this is not just for Sprint users - Verizon users, come and get it!.
In the new "big buttons" layout, the buttons on the Progress page are smaller than the buttons on the Dialer page. Paul had both using the Cmd buttons. This wasn't working well for my theme - the button bitmaps got truncated - so I created a new type of button (PrgBtn...) for my theme and made the necessary changes to the registry.
The version of phcanhtc.dll that is copied to my Windows directory when I uninstall Paul's program is not exactly the same as what was there originally. It's better. The original version had a bug that caused a problem with a utility I use called iLaunch. Now the problem is gone. Paul - what did you fix?
My theme:
This theme uses the same color scheme as the default Verizon theme, which I like. It's clean - no extraneous bitmaps - because I like clean designs without extraneous doodads. I like things to be very functional and easy to read.
This theme lets the device write the text on the buttons (versus drawing it on the bitmaps) because that allows nice up/down versions of the buttons on the dialer page. I implemented both portrait and landscape modes.
I don't know if people will like my theme, but at least it shows that Paul's program works with Verizon devices.
To install:
1. Run Paul's BlueFrog_Touch_Dialer.cab from the first message in this thread. When it asks you to reboot, say "not yet" (cancel out).
2. Copy phoneskin_permutations.zip to someplace on your device and unzip it into the \PhoneSkin directory in the root of your device. Overwrite the files in there (you may want to back them up first).
3. Find phoneskin_permutations.reg in the \PhoneSkin directory and run it to copy the values into your device registry. You can delete it after you run it. I use Resco File Manager with the Registry and Zip extensions for all this.
4. Now soft reset your device.
Screenshots of the theme are below. I couldn't figure out how to post thumbnails. How do you do that?
I'm using it now but redial doesn't work, location icon doesn't work, and the data arrows stay solid white. Of course the #*****## stuff doesn't work either

I second that. The dialer looks great but doesn't work worth a darn on CDMA phones with smartdialing.
