i love my s9's, though I'm still trying to get the fit just right. the sound quality as someone else mentioned is never going to approach wired headphones, but compared to the crappy headpones that came with the phone and the convenience, it is worth it.
has anyone found a good stereo receiver? i got the moto 800 and not too happy with it. thought it was the phone, but with the headphones it rocks. could the bt1.2 vs. bt2.0 really make that much difference?
Have you tried to ware sunglasses with the s9? It looks like it won't feel good at all.
it's a little tricky - you have to put the sun glasses on the outside, but if you have good springs or wraparounds they stay on just fine.
I have to admit the fit in general is a little weird cause it's molded, but I'm getting used to it, and much less chance of dropping my Mogul because i caught the headphone cord on something...
the sound quality is great, but definitely do the reg hacks to get the best sound.
How do you even wear you S9s outdoors? Mines are constantly cutting out. Indoor is decent, with a cutout maybe every 10 minutes, or every time I drink from the water fountain.

if you look in the s9 manual, it says not to place the phone below your waist for optimal connection, so I keep it in my bag or front pocket and almost never get a cut out.
Output jack and jumper included to connect the receiver "pendant" to any aux stereo input (e.g. speakers)
Track skip, mute, volume controls
Carry in your shirt pocket, clipped to clothing or with included lanyard
Decent call quality - so far....
Cons:
Minor cable clutter - when compared to self-contained units
No caller ID display
I suppose the question is, if these have cables, then why bother with them at all? They still afford you cordless freedom , no cumbersome adapters are required...and the headphones included with the Mogul are uncomfortable / sound terrible.
As far as the s9 cutting out, it definitely will cut out if you place it in your pocket. It is a weaker device, but this is what gives it such a light weight(i think it is the lightest bluetooth stereo).
The problem I found was that coreplayer has horrible sound quality when compared to WMP. I thought I had grabbed a bad mp3 when i first used coreplay...then i played the same song in WMP and it sounded much better.
If you do buy Motorola S9 headphones...make sure you buy them somewhere you can return them. They can be VERY awkward...they stay in your ear, but they have a tendency to "pinch".

I am adding my Vote for these.
I just got them three days ago and I LOVE them.
Great sound, incoming and outgoing.
Nobody knows I'm on a BT system.
AVRCP works flawlessly.
Good battery life.
Cool looking device.
Charger will charge Mogul.
Ear buds are the most comfortable and best sounding I've found yet!
I am VERY happy with this setup.
Plantronics is still one of the BEST companies out there. *IMHO

I know it is not earbuds, but I use the Jabra BT8010 and love them!!!!
It also acts a regular BT headset with all the bells and whistles like caller ID, a 30 entry phonebook, and the last 10 caller list right on the headset.
Read some reviews that it might have some issues with PPC phones like hijacking other sounds besides phone calls. Any Sprint Mogul users using the BT8010?
1) Do u guys have any issues with it?
2) Does the Jabra BT caller id use the Mogul contact list directly or do I need to load a contact list in the BT?
3) Do I need to do any hacking to the Mogul to use it such as getting stereo, etc?
TIA

Regarding audio player control, when your Mogul is locked, will the headphones still have track selection and volume control?
I need to be able to lock my Mogul while i'm cycling and slip it into the belt case, but I still want to be able to skip tracks and control volume.
I'd like to put a vote in for the Jabra BT 8010. I just picked it up on Friday @ Fry's Electronics for $79.00. FRYS.com*|*Jabra
It paired right away and sounds great. I really like the idea that I can run it in mono for phone only and then plug in the stereo attachment to rock out or watch movies. In-call sound seems good and people on the other end report that I am clear and not "in a toilet bowl" like the included Mogul headset did.
No problems with where you wear your phone as far as connectivity issues go. In fact I am able to walk about 12 feet before it cuts out. When it does cut out it reconnects fast when you approach the phone.
I had to laugh at myself on Sunday as I went to get out of my car. I forgot that I was listening on my new device and thought I was wearing the Mogul headset with wires. As I stepped out my heart raced and I threw myself back towards the seat in fear that I was about to yank cords and fling my phone to the ground. You know the feeling.
Anyways I really think this headset is a huge bang for the buck at $79.00.

Yes I experience this with the 8010 and with any other stereo BT headset that also will answer calls like with the HBH-DS970 that I use as well. I see some people listing this as a negative. But for me it is a pro instead of a con. For example, I use GPS for work a lot. Now I do not have to worry about missing a voice prompt due to the radio, road noise, having the top down, etc... Also when I play a game without disturbing anyone (at night, in a waiting room) it is nice to have the game sounds thru my BT instead of thru the speaker in my phone.

You need to load your phone book. You can, I think, up to 30 (might be 20) contacts stored. Plus it collects a call history on top of that.

Nope. But there is one that is suppose to make it better. I went ahead and did it at the beginning so I do know the difference. Look thru the Reg Hack threads here and at PPCGeeks and you will find it.

I also just got the HBH-DS970, as well already having the Jabra 8010. They complement each other nicely. The HBH-DS970 does a good job at shutting out the world, which is nice in an airplane, working out, etc... But it is not good when driving a car, in the store, etc... So now I have a set that I can use when I want to shut out the world and one I can use and still be in the world.

Here's another vote for the SE 970, i've had it over a year now and it's performed well, especially on the music front with the noise reduction earbuds. The problem with my unit is that the microphone split in two within 2 months of purchase - it hasn't competely fallen apart, but it's on its last licks. Other than that, I've also had a problem with the nylon sheath that covers the wires underneath, it started to fray and tear and eventually just ripped - through normal wear and tear usage. QC is not that great, but as I said musically, it's pretty good. Incomming calls will mute - not pause - the music.
It's currently backordered EVERYWHERE. the styling and implementation looks pretty cool; no clue as to how they'll sound. I'm going to miss the caller id feature that I had on the 970 tho.
Digging this up from the graveyard - notice that a few people recommended the Lubix NC-1. Has anyone tried the Lubix LC-1 and if so how are they? I was looking at a pair of Sony's but they're about 119 and much bulkier.
I have been using the Plantronics Voyager 855 since it came out. It works GREAT!
Battery life is not so good though, at least for me. and I have had 2 different headsets.
