reread the first post and its quite simple you jsut replace the file its not that difficult in the windows folder..

My question is i installed the Course adjustment file and my when i get a txt the phone vibrates, but i have no vibration in the notification section under txt or threaded txt's so i uninstalled the file it works fine now, i am trying the fine adjustment one, can anyone tell me if this has happened to them.

Found the file but when I try to replace it it says access denied. All I am doing is copying the file from my sd card and trying to paste it in the /windows folder. any help is appreciated.

u have to rename it, get rid of the TXT end, god this is so easy... anyway i jsut did the fine file i run it one from the top and its louder then the max was before totally a new phone. as for the repalcement copy the file and save it some where, then delete it and replace with the new one, i doubt u will ever have to go back to orig but its nice too have.

I feel stupid

I've tried all that I know to do, but the file is a system file, and set as read only. I can't rename it, delete it or move it. I tried changing the file attributes in Total Commander but it won't hold. I thought I might be able to do it with the phone hooked to my computer throught run/cmd, but I couldn't do that either (not smart enough to find the directory).

Anyway, what am I missing? Is there anything else I could try?

start total commander
highlight the NEW audiopara.csv sound file
tap and hold that file name
a menu pops up tap Copy/Move
then tap TREE
choose the windows dir (where the file to be copied over is)
then tap COPY
it will ask you if you want to overwrite tap yes

This is from memory so if I am slightly off someone adjust steps!!

YEA!

Thank you so much. I've been messing with this for 2 days. I think I had a case of temporary retardedness.

Anyway, it worked and I am forever in your debt.

I have been using the AudioPara.csv_coarse file and I am finding the low end is a bit too loud. I have tried to combine the low end of the original file with the upper end of the coarse but that renders my the ringer and earpiece non-usable (no sounds). Any ideas how to tweak this and get a quiet low end, but keep the louder upper end?

One simple and quick thing you can do if you're in a noisy room, turn on speakerphone and flip the phone over.

Course Audiopara file low end is a little too high

I too agree with wd_stewart. The course Audiopara file does wonders for the XV6800's top end audio. But as wd_stewart said the low end is a bit too high. It is hard to have a private conversation even at the lowest volume. Thanks again to mswlogo for all you have done so far. If this is as good as it gets, it's still better stan the orig.

Thanks again,

I just bought a bluetooth headset and at the highest volume I can barely hear the caller. I d/l the AudioPara.csv_coarse file awhile back and that fixed the phone volume issue...is there a fix for the bluetooth? Any help is appreciated

FYI to everybody. If you have the new ROM with GPS enabled, the original AudioPara file will not work with it. You need a updated one.

AudioPara.csv

I modified my audiopara.csv file and came up with what I think is great combination. I lowered the bottom two levels so I could have some privacy and then made the top level really loud, but not as loud as the coarse file. I am still experimenting on my Vogue, and I'll post more if they turn out ok.
You're welcome to try it. Let me know what you think.

This seems to work, so. I am not certain if there is some sort of pattern one must follow to modify the AudioPara.csv file or not (my modifications left the phone unable to ring and I couldn't hear anyone on the other end), but I am going to give this one a try and see how it works. Thank you.

low volume problems? When I first got my Mogul, for a few weeks I could hardly hear music out of the headset and I had the volume all the way up on the Windows Media player, and I had the "in call" volume all the way as well. Well out of frustration and exploration, I found that from the main screen if you click on the speaker icon and turn the left slider which has an illustration of the Mogul up the volume is loud enough to damage your hearing if you like.

Try that.

I am no longer looking for a solution to this problem, and I am glad that I am thrifty enough to have resisted purchasing a registry editor, wasting countless hours trying to copy and paste registry hacks. I found this to be the solution that was there all along, and for free. It worked for me, and considering we all have identical hardware Im sure it will work for you.
