email problem - Cannot display the attachment

I used to be able to open email attachments directly from the "Messaging" application email. It now says "Cannot display the attachment"

I can save the attachment and then open it but can't open it directly from the email. I had this problem once before and solved it with a hard reset. I have way to mant tweaks adjustment to warrent a hard reset.

Anyone know how to solve this problem short of a hard reset?

I have never been able to open any of my attachments from the email it self. I always have to save first. 6700, 700wx, 6800.

I may be wrong, but I think it's a wm thing. I would like to be wrong because it sure would be nice not to have to save first.

I am able to open all attachments just fine (WM 5, WM 6, Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, POP and IMAP).

What kind of attachment are you trying to open?

Depending on your setting in your e-mail program where you can set the maximum download size. Also, I frequently get a message that it will download the attachment on the next send/receive. Works every time.

Thanks but that is not my issue. I can download the attachment but cannot open it within the the email application like I used to. I now have to save the attachment and then open it from where I saved it.

I used to be able to open it directly from the poutlook email application

How are you getting your mail (POP, IMAP, Exchange Server, etc)?
