Does anyone have AIM installed for free on their Mogul? I'm on AIM alot and need this on my phone. ANyone know where to get this and how to install it.
Is there isn't a free one..where are the one that cost?
You must be logged in to see the download, but this one is free. I used this on my 700wx before moving to the Mogul. I had some issues which might have been caused by this, so I uninstalled. I've heard a lot of good things about IM+, but its not free.

Octro is currently free since its still in beta. However, I don't know how good I would classify it. Check with Mal over at ppcgeeks as he is a big supporter of Octro.

I paid $20.00 a few years back and I think it's the same one that's floating around the net.
It worked perfect on 6600.
On 6700 (maybe after a ROM update) one menu (setup) is missing and makes it a little awkward to install. You need to send a message and let it prompt for login. Then make sure you set all the auto login stuff. Then force AIM to close. I use SPB plus todo that (built in close programs may work too). It will prompt to exit. You have to say yes quikly so it will save autologin settings. If you don't do it quick the process is killed before it gets saved and you have to go through it (send message and prompt to login) every time you start it.
Once autologin stuff is saved it works fine.
On 6800 it was missing something else and even harder to install. But it still worked.
I used an old UK Mobile AIM on the 6700 it was alright but now I use agile, its a good program but not setup quite like I would prefer with the AIM interface.
I use IM+ because it works well with my internal Jabber server I set up for my company. I will occasionally sign into AIM or Yahoo on it and it works great. Worth the couple of bucks.

Hey guys, I kind of asked this same question a year ago on the 6700 forum and it doesn't seem that much as changed since then, but I figure I might ask again. I just recently got a 6800 through Sprint SERO and trying to figure out the best IM program.
From what I can figure, both Agile and IM+ aren't true always-on AIM messengers because they rely off the data network and once you disconnect off EVDO, you basically sign off. Since I have unlimited SMS texting, and the only true way to stay always-on while saving battery life is by AIM through SMS, I was hoping that someone, somewhere came out with a program that lets that happen. Last I heard, VeriChat was the last program to be released that offered an option to be able to use SMS texting as an always-on option if a data network was not available.
I've tried both Agile and IM+ and found them both to be very lacking solely due to the fact that it requires a constant data connection. I need a program that'll function like the AIM for a Sidekick and can wake-on SMS when a new IM is sent to me, even if i'm not connected via data.
